Located in the centre of the Algarve, the south of Portugal, places the Capital of the Tourism of the Algarve, Albufeira, distant about 40km of the district capital, Faro.

     With an area of 14.800 hectares and a population of about forty thousand inhabitants, it is divided in five municipal zones: Albufeira, Ferreiras, Guia, Olhosd'Água and Paderne.

     The coast is formed by beaches with strong Mediterranean climate: Hot and dry summers and light Winters, with a reduced rainfall, ( between the months of October and March), and with an annual average temperature of about 17,5ºC.

     Geographically, Albufeira makes use of a formed coast of about 20 km almost all, of fine sand beaches and the crystalline water.

     At national level, Albufeira is the one that withholds one of the bigger concentration of blue flags (European symbol of the quality of beaches).
